Film from weddings

I just picked up my first batch of film from my weddings. I am in love! I am truly looking forward to relearning all of the little nuances of a film camera. It's amazing what we take for granted by using digital (number one is there is no LCD screen on a 35 mm! I laughed at myself for automatically checking so often!). Here are some of my favorite shots

Film is back!

I did it! I bought a film camera! I just purchased a Canon Elan 7 35mm camera! I feel so retro, and it feels like home at the same time! I bought a roll of black and white film and tested the camera on my kids - I think I am in love! I love the look and feel of the film (which is where my training began).

Both of the above images were scanned into the computer from the negatives and were not digitally enhanced (other than cropping and resizing). What do you think?

Tomorrow I will be bringing the camera to a wedding with a very high ISO to produce a feel of antique grainy images. I'm very excited about that! I'll post some of those photos once they get developed!
