Rich and Becky's Engagement Session

Gillette's Castle, East Haddam, CT

Fun times with one of my grooms!

Sometimes people just make me laugh when things stick out. Through out their planning process, Rich insisted to Becky (his bride to be) and me that the reception will be a 4 drink minimum. At first, I had no clue what he meant (my first thought was his guests were in for a surprise) - then I realized the 4 drink minimum was for him! I had to take it an extra step...this one's for you, Rich!

Dani & Duncan's Photo Session

Dani & Duncan came to the studio for a photo shoot - I had so much fun photographing them! And I really had fun watching another set of 3 year old and 5 year old siblings! They were so silly! Here are the pics to prove it!

Sibling rivalry? I think not! :)Duncan is letting his inner Abercrombe come out with this one! Doesn't he look like a model?
We had to use some of that energy!!

Dani LOVED getting her photo taken - she told me her Daddy taught her how to pose! Great job, Dad!

What a great time and what adorable kids! Love them!

Rich & Becky's Engagement Session

The rain cleared up this morning at 8:30...we met Rich and Becky at 9:00 at Gillette's Castle in East Haddam, CT. What a spectacular morning! Absolutely beautiful - a little squishy, but beautiful!
We had so much fun today - got a little silly with some poses, but that's what makes it fun!!
Becky is a photographer as well - I think she was pretty comfortable in front of the camera today! Isn't she gorgeous??!!

Look at the size of Becky's rock!

Romeo & Juliet meets Rapunzel meets Rich & Becky!

He loves me, he loves me not, he LOVES ME! Thanks Heather for the fun idea!!Love it when the couples have fun! We combined some romantic books and Rich's love of the outdoors. Guess what he's pointing at? Hee hee!
Next photo - I'm not commenting on, other than the fact that the next photo session with Rich & Becky will be at Cabbella's...seriously!

Congratulations, Becky & Rich! We'll see you soon for part two! ;) Then the wedding is right around the corner!

Don't forget to vote on your favorite photo!

Elysse's Photo Session

I had the honor of photographing this gorgeous young girl this morning. Elysse not only loved the camera, the backdrops and all the flowers - but the camera loved her!
We had so much fun with the poses - some (like the Morton's Salt Girl below!) were Elysse's idea! Watch out, Mom! :)

Coventry Farmers' Market Opening Day

What better way to spend a morning than surrounded by cows, goats, sheep, dogs, kids, fresh local berries, fresh local veggies, local FRIENDS!!! I spent Sunday morning at the Coventry Farmers' Market giving back to the community that I have spent 35 of my 37 years living in (ironically enough, Sunday was my 37th birthday!). I volunteered as the market photographer for opening day at the Coventry Farmers' Market.

I tend to joke about Coventry - I usually say "you know the phrase 'East of nowhere'? Well, Coventry is the nowhere". It's still true to some extent (we are, however, moving up in the world with a CVS, Dunkin Donuts and soon opening a Walgreens!), but not with the Farmers' Market!
This market has grown in the past few year to this wonderfully huge gathering! I had so much fun photographing the opening day this year - not just because it's a great market (it is!) but because I had a chance to reconnect with so many long lost friends! I met up with women that I was friends with in preschool and grammar school, I met up with old college friends, I even met up with recent couples (Kim & Bryan, just married in May, were wandering around!)! My kids came to enjoy the lemonade, Italian Ice, and the animals!
What a great day! Proofs are posted here (click for link) - portions of the proceeds will be donated to the market if you're interested in purchasing photos!

I'll be back in two weeks (next week we're shooting an engagement session at a castle so I'll miss it!)! Look for me and SMILE! :)
