Marianne & Daniel's Wedding

Oh we had a blast on April 26 with Marianne & Daniel! Their wedding was so much fun, we even had a chance to play a few holes of golf, watch some TV at the bar, play some BINGO! It was wonderful! Teasers should be posted by the end of the week!

Film is back!

I did it! I bought a film camera! I just purchased a Canon Elan 7 35mm camera! I feel so retro, and it feels like home at the same time! I bought a roll of black and white film and tested the camera on my kids - I think I am in love! I love the look and feel of the film (which is where my training began).

Both of the above images were scanned into the computer from the negatives and were not digitally enhanced (other than cropping and resizing). What do you think?

Tomorrow I will be bringing the camera to a wedding with a very high ISO to produce a feel of antique grainy images. I'm very excited about that! I'll post some of those photos once they get developed!

New studio

Yes, I have been neglecting this blog! So sorry!! I just finished my new office and am 50% finished with the new studio. What I like is that my new office can easily convert into a studio - I had my kids model one of my new benches today! They were thrilled to dress like "princess brides" today!

The Knot's Best of Weddings 2008

When I got the mail on friday, there was a small thick package addressed to me. Thinking it was more marketing, I tossed it on the kitchen table until the evening. I opened the envelope and found a beautiful clear award from the Knot congratulating me for being voted Best in the State. Shocked, I bought the magazine ($10!!) and saw that I was voted Best Event Planner for CT! I am thrilled and honored to have such a title! Thank you to all that voted for me!
