I usually like to joke and say my four year old, Alexandra, is going to take over the businesses (typically the wedding planning business as she is a planner!). But this time, I think it's going to be the photography business..and soon...at our last trip to the Wadsworth Atheneum, Alexandra asked me to bring a camera because she had an idea for a shot. Who am I to deny that request? She explained that she wanteda photo of herself looking thoughtfully at the painting of St. Catherine of Alexandria (her favorite painting) and then posed herself. My job was to take the picture...would you believe that she criticized the fact that she didn't have her arms behind her back like she wanted?? :) My toughest critic!

We bought our kids new cameras because they want to take pictures like Mommy & Daddy. so we found some at the Walmart clearance rack. Evanthea was the first to upload her photos.
I thought everyone waited until high school for the famed self-portrait!
Once we work on her moving her finger out of the way, she will be ready for weddings! Anyone want to hire a 2 year old for a daytime wedding? She is only available from 6:30 AM until around 6:00 PM as bedtime is around 7! LOL!

After trying for too long to get the kids to stop running around in their July 4 dresses, I actually got them to freeze for 1 second to get this shot! I'm still tired from chasing them around! LOL! This was after the parade the local kids put on - next year my kids will be a part of the parade!
OK, my fireworks shots definitely weren't as cool as Dave's (see post below)! But not bad for sitting in my driveway looking over trees, right? LOL!
OK, so it's a little belated! We went to our cottage in Old Lyme for a long weekend! Dave took Evanthea to see the fireworks and managed to get some great shots! I tried to get some from our driveway, not sure how those came out! LOL!
