Film from weddings

I just picked up my first batch of film from my weddings. I am in love! I am truly looking forward to relearning all of the little nuances of a film camera. It's amazing what we take for granted by using digital (number one is there is no LCD screen on a 35 mm! I laughed at myself for automatically checking so often!). Here are some of my favorite shots

I have been chained to this computer getting albums and proofs ready, but yet I've been neglecting the fun part - the blog! I have been taking some photos, though - Dave & the kids took me to brunch at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford for Mother's Day. I had some photo projects I needed to work on. Then this past weekend, the new Viet Nam War Memorial was being dedicated in my home town, Coventry, CT. I couldn't make the dedication, so I went down and shot them while they were getting organized. This one was my favorite:

Kristen & Mike

We had so much fun with Kristen & Mike yesterday (May 4). We were the second wedding (and actually the first on site ceremony) at the Riverview in Simsbury, CT. The site was spectacular and Kristen & Mike amused me with my "stand like this...trust me it will look good!".
