I went out in the yard to take some Earth Day photos (I really wanted to hit the park, but Alexandra has pink eye in both eyes today! Yuck!). My two assistants came to help (by help, I mean swing on their swing set).
This right here is truly our recycling bin! We are big fans of recycling!
While I was wondering around, Alexandra recited this poem, causing me to stop in my tracks. I asked her if she learned it in school, she said no she just made it up! What a beautiful way to honor Earth Day from a 4 year old perspective!
God is the sunset
God is the moon,
God is the stars
God is the ocean
God is the lagoon.
God is Mars,
God is the Earth.
God is the oceans, rivers and dust
God is all the pretty things
around us
This next photo is our unique lilac bush. Oddly enough, we planted it when I was pregnant with Evanthea four years ago - and it has shown to be just as stubborn as she is! We have not seen one flower yet!
I was playing games with this cardinal for quite some time. He wanted the food from the feeder and I wanted a photo. We settled for a compromise on the playscape!
We live on a pretty busy road - it's not typical to see no cars. But I thought it was cool that our neighbor's recycling bin was standing out like a sore thumb!Happy Earth Day!
