My 4 year old daughter, Alexandra, recently participated in a Hop A Thon to raise money for MDA. I had a chance to observe (photograph) her during her afternoon class - I could tell that she was practicing!
Alexandra had the highest hops in the AM class
She beat her score in the PM class
But the best news is she raised over $420 in donations - she had the highest donations in the school!
She and another child will be representing their school at the MDA Telethon on Memorial Day (a belated birthday present, she will turn 5 on May 20!) at the Mohegan Sun casino! Dave & I are BURSTING with pride! we are thrilled that she did such a wonderful job and that she truly understands what the money is going to (their class has been learing about disabilities for the past few weeks).
We are very grateful to those of you who donated to her cause! I will post the details her time when it comes available! Thank you everyone for your wishes and donations!!
What a bar to set for Evanthea - she's in this class next year! LOL! :)
