Sex In The City - Coventry Farmers' Market Part 1

Ideas...Ideas...Ideas...my head is filled with ideas. I finally met my core group of women who love my ideas and have the awesome talents to enhance these ideas and bring them to life!

I met Karla Howland (makeup artist of Karla Howland, Skin Care Specialist) at our previous shoot at the Crocker House. Karla is talented, witty, fun, silly, and creative - everything I love!! She and I were on Facebook one day and she said she wanted to do a Trash the Dress session with food. That sparked an idea to shoot at the Farmers' Market...the idea grew when we spoke with our other amazing women.

Kia Martensen-Wenzel of ESTOcassions, Vicky Kenyan of ToriaDolce Wedding Cakes, and Winter Caplanson...quite frankly I love the title we gave her - "Local Market Goddess"! Our collective efforts of ideas combined with my amazing brides who jumped at the chance - Amanda Gandolfo (getting married 10/1/10), Katie Kurze (getting married 7/16/11), and Alexa Chamberlain (married on 9/19/09)

There are many reasons why I chose to do this shoot in this way. The first was to show off this awesome market in another way. I photographed the market last year and all its details and fab yummy products. This year, I want to show how fun it is!! I also wanted to tie in my own passions with the shoots: weddings, glamour, wedding photography, buying local, "keeping the Earth green", and FUN!

So we took the approach of showcasing the market where brides can shop locally for their wedding! The first step was a "Sex In the City" style shoot of the girls shopping! Stay tuned for the next blog post of the brides!!

Here is everyone that was involved with the shoot (not shown is Heather Henry who provided the bouquets)

Thank you to Highland Thistle Farm for these beautifully photogenic strawberries!!
Thank you to Capa di Roma for the awesome sauce samples! Yummy! And Highland Thistle Farm also brought some fab "greenery" that we purchased for our green bouquets! I have to say that I really liked these bouquets! They're so cute!!
One of our new friends, Lulu! How super cute is this little face? The girls were using organic cotton shopping bags that we give out to all of our couples with their proofs!
Alexa took a break in front of the Nathan Hale Homestead!
Next post is all about the brides...want to know why brides were running around Coventry yesterday? Stay tuned!!
