Coventry Farmers' Market - Youth Market Day

Yesterday, Jessica & I had an opportunity to, once again, give back to our amazing community! As some of you know, Parsons Photography is a business sponsor of the Coventry Regional Farmers' Market and we were able to sponsor one event. We chose the Youth Market Day and brought the photo booth and decided to take some portraits as well.

We had so much fun hearing the stories and watching the expressions of the moms when they saw the photos immediately on the computer screen! We've been hearing a new trend of photographers posting one photo and bragging that it's "SOOTC" (which stands for straight out of the camera) - this new trend cracks me up, because this is how we always shoot! And we proved it yesterday to the families that visited! Every family had an opportunity to view their photos and chose some to purchase or wait to see them online.

we were touched by this family's story of never being able to get ONE good photo of their four children (one of which is special needs) - Mom stared at the photos for a good 15 minutes, trying to decide WHICH ONE she loved the most! Mom - thank YOU...your reaction is why we are in the business and keeps us going! :)

I think this one was my favorite of the day!
Sure, we had time to squeeze my kids in there too! They enjoyed the market by sampling the Italian Ice!

We were pleased to offer this opportunity to families in our community! When we photograph portraits at the market, there is no charge for a sitting fee. You can either purchase prints right then and there at the market (and take it with you!) or you can order them online. All of the photos will be uploaded on to our proofing site by Sunday for families to order and share. Come back to this blog for more information!

A super duper extra thank you to Winter & Jean from the Market for their amazing support and ideas. And an extra thank you to our wonderful families with these amazing children!

We will be back again soon at the market! Stay tuned for the announcement!
